What is the Facility Info System?

The Ventura County APCD has developed a tool that allows you to search for public information about APCD regulated facilities (that is, facilities that are required to have a permit to operate equipment that releases pollutants into the air). The system is called the Facility Info System

 

The information in the Facility Info System comes from our APCD enterprise database. The data on the website is regularly updated at a frequency of about once a week. However, occasionally updates may take longer.

 

What are the Facility Info System’s limitations?

Please keep in mind that there are limitations to the Facility Info System. As with any system that uses data from many sources, we anticipate that users may find some information that is not up-to-date, is missing, or is not accurate. Also keep in mind that APCD provides this information as a resource tool and uses its best efforts to make it as useful as possible. APCD does not, however, take any responsibility for a person or company relying on the information obtained through the Facility Info System; and does not have any control or responsibility for how the information obtained is used by anyone.

 

What information does the Facility Info System provide?

Facility Information: this section provides basic information about a facility. This includes name and address information, and the unique number assigned by the VCAPCD (Facility No).

 

SIC Information: This shows the SIC (Standard Industrial Classification) code which classifies this facility. For more information on SIC codes in general, please visit: http://www.osha.gov/pls/imis/sicsearch.html

 

Permit Period: This shows the start and end date of the current permit. “In Renewal” indicates if the permit is currently in the renewal process

 

Active Permit Applications: This section lists applications that are currently being processed.

 

  • Facility No: The APCD assigned number for this facility
  • App No.: Application number assigned by APCD when the application is received
  • Description: Brief description of the application
  • App Status: Indicates either “Open” or “Closed”
  • Application Type: Brief description of the category of application.
  • Initial Submittal Date: Date the application was initially received by APCD
  • Date Application Issued: Date the application process was completed
  • NTC or NOV issued: Indicates whether a “Notice to Comply” or “Notice of Violation” was issued in relation to this specific application.

 

Permit History: This section shows a list of the recent permit activity for this facility. The list is limited to 5 years of history.

 

  • Facility No: The APCD assigned number for this facility
  • App. No.: Indicates either “REN” indicating Renewal, or an application number assigned by APCD when an application is received
  • Permit Type: Regular, GDF (Gas Dispensing Facility), or DCF (Dry Cleaning Facility)
  • Current: Y (yes) or N (no), indicates if this permit is currently the active at this facility
  • Action Type: Brief description of the permit
  • Permit Start: Start of the permit period
  • Permit End: End of the permit period
