On May 7, 2024, the Hearing Board granted an Interim Variance that allows Carbon California to continue operating the 262.5 MMBTU/hr Mactronic Waste Gas Flare while they repair and reroute a section of damaged pipeline and eventually resume selling natural gas via the pipeline into the natural gas sales distribution system and minimize flaring.
