What Color Is Your Air?

Under the Clean Air Act, the Environmental Protection Agency is required to establish a nationally uniform air quality index for reporting air quality. Local newspapers publish the Air Quality Index (AQI) daily. The AQI uses a color-coded system to indicate air quality conditions. The AQI lets you know when it's safe for you or your children to be outside and exercising.
