Rules 33, 33.1, and 33.9 (Part 70 Permits, General, Definitions & Compliance Provisions)
On April 8, 2025, the Ventura County Air Pollution Control Board adopted amendments to Rule 33, Part 70 Permits – General, Rule 33.1, Part 70 Permits – Definitions, and Rule 33.9, Part 70 Permits – Compliance Provisions. The adopted amendments removed federal greenhouse gas (GHG) Tailoring Rule and emergency affirmative defense provisions, both of which are no longer enforceable due to past court rulings.
