Air Pollution Control Board meets June 23
Agenda includes $1.77M in grants
The agenda for the Ventura County Air Pollution Control Board meeting on Tuesday, June 23, includes the following:
- PROJECT GRANTS: Board members will consider awarding $1.77 million for projects to reduce emissions. The grants would help fund the repowering of three commercial fishing boats, the installation of 11 bus-charging stations and the purchase of seven tractors, one forklift and two electric school buses.
- CAR BUYBACK: Board members will vote on adding $300,000 to the Old Car Buyback Program to encourage residents to retire another 134 higher-emitting vehicles by the end of 2027.
- BUDGET ADOPTION: The board will hold a public hearing and vote on the district’s proposed 2026-2027 budget.
The meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Ventura County Board of Supervisors Hearing Room at 800 S. Victoria Ave. in Ventura and livestreamed.
