California Education Code Section 39800.1 (b) (1) requires school districts to consult with their local air district on Transportation Service Plans to meet the requirements of AB 181. VCAPCD does not review these plans, but it does provide incentives and funding programs that may apply to school districts when developing and implementing them. Ventura County school districts that submit their Transportation Service Plans to VCAPCD and consider the information on our Grants & Incentives website are considered to have consulted adequately with their local air district.
