Compliance Division staff inspect all permitted facilities annually to ensure they comply with VCAPCD rules, applicable provisions of the California Health and Safety Code and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations. Staff members also investigate air pollution-related complaints, follow up on equipment breakdowns, inspect asbestos-removal projects, witness source tests and inspect portable engines, equipment units and registered agricultural engines. When staff members discover violations, they may issue a Notice of Violation.
Enforcement Activity Updates are published monthly on the district’s website. Each month's report contains activity that took place the previous month. Reports prior to 2015 are available through the district.
