Ventura County Air Pollution Control Board to meet at 1:30 p.m. on June 10

(VENTURA, Calif. — June 5, 2025) The agenda for the Ventura County Air Pollution Control Board meeting on Tuesday, June 10, includes the following:

• BUDGET: A public hearing on the district’s proposed 2025-2026 budget will be held. The budget’s estimates consider historical revenue and expenditure trends, salaries and benefits information, rule changes affecting emissions and emissions-based fees, and discussions with state and federal air quality officials regarding estimates of funding from the state and federal grants.

• COMMITTEE MEMBERS: The board will vote on the appointment of two new members to the district’s Advisory Committee. Rashid Sayed of Thousand Oaks is a lecturer in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at California State University, Northridge, and served on the Ventura County Climate Emergency Council. Steven Weiss of Oxnard retired from Weiss Global Enterprises.

• FINANCIAL REPORTS: The board will receive the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and Single Audit Report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024. An independent auditor issued the highest obtainable option assuring that the district’s reports fairly present its financial position.

The meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Ventura County Board of Supervisors Hearing Room at 800 S. Victoria Ave. in Ventura and livestreamed.
