Agenda includes cybersecurity and monitoring grants
$47,000 project to enhance evaluation and logging tools for network security
The agenda for the Ventura County Air Pollution Control Board meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 12, includes the following:
• CYBERSECURITY FUNDING: The board will consider accepting a $47,000 grant from the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services. The funding would be used to enhance the district’s evaluation and logging tools to increase efficiency and timeliness in detecting and responding to cybersecurity incidents.
• GRANT APPLICATION: The board will receive a report on the district’s June 26 application for a $63,000 Environmental Protection Agency grant. It would support continued operation of the district’s fine particulate monitoring network from April 2025 through March 2026.
• DIESEL REPLACEMENT: Board members will vote on whether to continue participating in the Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality Standards Attainment Program. The district has awarded $64 million in grants to businesses to replace more than 1,400 diesel engines with lower-emission equipment through the program.
The meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Ventura County Board of Supervisors Hearing Room at 800 S. Victoria Ave. in Ventura and livestreamed.
